About Me

My Journey
My journey into software development began with Lua scripting in World of Warcraft. And while I have long forgotten Lua, my love for programming has continued to grow. Now I enjoy creating efficient solutions to real world problems -- what I affectionately call "my word problems"
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from small business websites to complex, real-time web applications. Each project has taught me something new and reinforced my belief in the power of technology to solve real-world problems.
What I Do
As a full-stack, AI, web developer, I enjoy working across the entire technology stack. I love building business solutions through tech to solve problems our clients face.
I build internal tooling to empower my coworkers to be more efficient as well as working directly with clients to solve inneficiencies they are facing by building custom software and automations
Along with my full time role, I have gone back to school to pursue my bachelors in CS and will (likely) be extending to a masters in computer science with an emphasis in machine learning after needing to take an academic break during covid.

Beyond Code
Learning & Growth
I'm passionate about continuous learning. Whether it's exploring new programming paradigms with an open mind, reading tech blogs, machine learning papers, revisiting math textbooks, listening to tech podcasts, experimenting with new tools, or diving deeper on tools I already use, I believe in staying curious and adaptable in this ever-evolving field.
Outside Code
When I'm not working, I'm doing school work; when I'm not doing either of those, I am usually working on other programming side projects, eating or sleeping. About once a month or so, I will play Magic: The Gathering... I do love hiking short distances, falling off my surfboard, and various forms of touching grass. While I don't find much time for much more than walking my dog, I promise I enjoy it (see pictures above for proof).
